12.Bazoongi 48″ Bouncer Trampoline with Handle Bar

These mini kids jump trampoline with handle is perfect for a family with little to no yard space or if they want to use it indoors.

It provides hours of entertainment for kids while allowing them to grasp the handle for safety. It also gets kids off the computer and away from the TV, allowing them some positive, healthy playtime. So much so that you can’t get them off of it! Below, parents gave their input on how they felt about this mini-trampoline.

Pros
  • A 4-foot trampoline is probably a good size for kids if they want to jump with another friend.  Although consider your living room size since they may want to watch TV while jumping.
  • It is a heavy-duty bouncer with good springs. According to one parent, they’ve had it for three years of rough use, and it’s still maintained its durability and quality.
  • It’s big enough for two toddlers to jump at once, which has made it even more fun for kids.
  • It comes with six legs as opposed to 4 on other models, which provides more sturdiness.
  • It has a good bounce to it so kids can have maximum fun on it.
  • The seller is really good, and if for any reason you need to return it, they will immediately give you a refund.
  • The handlebar helps kids to keep their balance while jumping.
  • It comes with good padding that completely covers all the springs. This allows kids to jump safely without getting their feet caught in the springs.
  • No sharp objects anywhere on it.
  • Can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Cons
  • The foam handle is a bit flimsy, cheap and brittle and can be torn off or shredded.
  • The trampoline may be too big for your living room due to its 4-foot diameter. Get a good idea of where you’d want to put it and if it fits in your living room before you buy it. On the plus side, it’s nice to have a larger jumping area if your kids want to invite friends on it.
  • The instructions could be clearer. To avoid frustration while assembling it, it’s a good idea to correctly align the ring and attach the supports first before you add the trampoline fabric.
  • If your kids lean heavily on the handle too much and their around 50 lbs or more, they may tip the trampoline.
  • The 110lb weight limit doesn’t allow parents to jump on it.

When assembling, put the circular frame together first, one frame at a time, and leave it all a little loose. This allows the last frame to be pushed in. Then once you get that last piece in, you can push everything together without a hitch.

For the handle, if you’re finding that the holes aren’t lining up, simply take the handle off and switch the vertical bars, then it should work.

If you’re placing the Bazoongi in your yard, and there’s a slope, make sure you have the handle facing upward towards the slope to avoid any potential problems with the trampoline lifting off its legs.

Overall the majority of parents are very happy with this mini kids jump trampoline that comes with a handle for support. They also mentioned that they would recommend it to their friends. If you are looking for even safety, you can also find mini-trampolines equipped with special netting around the outside so that kids can’t fall onto the ground.

13.Skywalker 15-Feet Rectangle Trampoline

The Skywalker Trampolines 15X9 ft. Trampoline and enclosure have a traditional rectangle shape with the long straight sides making it one of the best trampolines for competitive jumpers, aspiring gymnasts as well as family fun for everyone.

A rectangle trampoline, by design, will give the highest lift versus the traditional round trampolines. This is due to the springs working at different rates giving the jumper more control over their height and landing.

The galvanized steel frame and durable materials provide weather resistance for years of outdoor enjoyment. The enclosure frame interlocks with the trampoline frame using T-sockets at each frame joint preventing structural twisting.

The enclosure netting interlocks with the jump mat at each v-ring using a button-hole feature which eliminates gaps with no ropes to thread. All materials are made to be durable and long lasting with UV resistant materials.

Pros
  • Great quality
  • Sturdy
  • Excellent bounce
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Complaints of shipping/missing parts

We highly recommend the highly-praised 15′ rectangular trampoline by Skywalker.  The rectangular shape provides more jump space and is great for aspiring gymnasts. You will see in the reviews alone (below) it is highly rated by many.

Although the instructions are somewhat vague, most had no trouble putting the trampoline together without them. It is a strong and sturdy build making it a great value for the price. It also seems to hold up much better than it’s cheaper competitors, sure to last you years of fun!

15.JumpSport Elite 12′ Trampoline

The JumpSport Elite 12′ Trampoline comes with a Trampoline safety enclosure and has an elegant design that is very comfortable to hold and use. So this Trampoline is definitely not considered a compact trampoline, but the safety feature makes it safe enough to use at your backyard.

It really is geared toward professional usage even at home. The JumpSport product quality is decent, and it is a very durable Trampoline. This Trampoline is made using a stronger frame and uprights and steps up in quality with its thicker pipe, royal blue, and black.

However, when this trampoline is in use, a lot of space is required to place it correctly. It is made from good quality materials and has a nice easy hang enclosure system.

Mid-sized JumpSport Elite trampoline might be the best trampoline for yards that can’t fit the full-size 14′ unit.

Trampoline could be a great deal for kids` birthday parties, and starting from mid-size and up the size, it is perfect for more than one child to jump.

16.JumpKing 15-Foot Trampoline with Safety Net Enclosure

The large Jumpking 15ft Trampoline is a great investment for all ages.  Kids and parents alike will receive many hours of fun with a trampoline of this size and build quality.  You will experience an amazing and fun jumping environment without limited visibility.

As you would expect with Jumpking, you get foam padded safety frame poles and enclosure foam covers.  The ‘G4’ poles and POD connectors allow for easy assembly.  As seen with other models in the Jumpking range, the frame is galvanized steel to allow resistance against rust.

Plus, the long-lasting premium mesh netting protects you from falling off the trampoline.  This is made in a way with small holes to prevent kids from getting tangled up in the netting and allows for great visibility.  This large Jumpking trampoline is one you simply cannot ignore.

We have found nothing but positive reviews on the Jumpking 15ft JumpPod Trampoline.  Yet again, the Jumpking manufacturer has another great product on the market.  The large size will allow hours of fun for every age, as many of the reviewers comment about themselves playing on the trampoline as well as their kids.  This will be a temptation you will not be able to avoid, even if you are buying for your kids, it is almost certain you will end up having a bounce.

A few of the user reviews made mention the extra ‘canopy’ feature, which can be purchased for this trampoline.  It seems it does help you keep the trampoline clean and dry.  Another point that is work pointing out is that if you do decide to buy this product, make sure you watch the videos as the assembly is made much easier compared to the written instructions.

The build of the JumpPod generally took around 2 hours on average from the user comments.  Based on the sheer size of the Jumpking 15 ft JumpPod, combined the superb build quality and design, we cannot ignore this trampoline and manufacturer.  We strongly recommend you identify your budget and see if this model fits your budget.  You will not be disappointed as you definitely get what you pay for with the JumpPod.

AirZone Outdoor Spring Trampoline with Mesh Padded Perimeter Safety Enclosure

The AirZone Outdoor Spring Trampoline is built with a rust opposing steel frame, six “W” shaped legs for strength and features a jumping mat and frame cover that is weather resistant.  For added safety, the six vertical frame poles are padded, and there is a zipped entrance door.  It is a trampoline with an enclosure that is easy to install and is tested to meet the ASTM safety requirements.

This trampoline and enclosure set has a large jumping area of 14 feet, and this is large enough to accommodate several people, which is great for parties and kids play days, although not recommended for safety reasons.  The finely knit mesh enclosure of this trampoline will help with keeping kids safe when playing. The fine mesh will help to prevent getting tangled up in the netting.  This product is easy to assemble, and no tools or drilling is required.

The AirZone Outdoor Spring Trampoline Set had a few negative reviews online.  We found two independent users submitted reviews from people who had bought this trampoline set.  On both occasions, the trampoline only lasted two years.  The main attraction of this product is the price. However, both stated they should have conducted more research and repeated the good old phrase ‘you get what you pay for.’

The first issue we found with the complaint was the straps that hold the enclosure to the poles had been damaged due to the weather.  Also, the frame had broken at two points, and the rest were rusted.  This was because the frame is welded and not forged, and the powder coat did not protect the frame.  We found this to be a vital piece of information that many companies do not advertise, which is how the frame was actually made.

Another user had found that the mat did not last, and it had caused near-fatal accidents because of the small tears as the bands were exposed.  The metal legs have been reported to not stay in the position very well.  When a replacement mat was required, it was found that it does not come as a part alone, you have to buy the mat, bands, and jumping surface as they are all sewn together as one for $200.

According to our research, the AirZone Outdoor Spring Trampoline should be a product you may want to avoid and seek alternative trampolines within your budget.  It does not seem to last very long, and you could be faced with replacing expensive parts or buying a new unit.

17.Bazoongi Jump Pod Trampoline with Enclosure

The Bazoongi Jump Pod Trampoline with Enclosure is perfect for ages six and up.  This trampoline features 42 springs, which are 5.5 inches each.

The unit is easy to assemble, including the unique top rail system.  The typical ‘W’ shaped legs are featured on this Bazoongi product, plus the sought after a galvanized frame, which will help to prevent rust and prolong the lifespan of the trampoline.

This is a great choice for children of 6-10 years as its large enough for them to enjoy but not as large as the bigger trampolines, saving space.  The ‘G4’ poles and padded frame adds the stability to the reliability to make a well built, good all-around trampoline.

This trampoline is great for smaller children for indoor or outdoor use.

This practically tells you that the trampoline is a top product. You are looking through the comments in detail, we have found that the trampoline is great for adults too (below the max weight).   Due to the compact size of this unit, if you are looking for a trampoline for your kids, and you may possibly want to have a bounce every now and then, we definitely recommend the Bazoongi 7.5ft.

You will also notice that because it has a fairly small jump area that you do not need a huge space to put this, it could even fit in some indoor space if the height space is enough.  As with other smaller space trampolines, there will be a limit on how many people can use the trampoline at once.  Pretty much every manufacturer will recommend that only one user should be on there at once. However, this could only hold one, maybe two, if it is smaller children.  If you are looking for a compact trampoline with the great build quality, then look no further; the Bazoongi 7.5ft is the one for you.

JumpKing Oval Trampoline with Solid Green Graphic Pad

The JumpKing Oval Trampoline has great visibility due to the four foam padded enclosure poles.  Jumpking has a great reputation as they are also the largest manufacturer of trampolines in the world; it is a brand you can trust.

The galvanized steel frame will help to protect against rust, and the premium netting mesh will provide added safety.  Because the frame is galvanized, fast wear and tear should not be an issue with this product.

This trampoline has a unique top rail system, which will provide added stability of the safety mesh.  With a large jumping area, this 14-inch mat will provide hours of fun for years to come.  Fun for every age, the Orbounder has a strong base with a ‘G3’ pole system, which allows the round top rail to take shape.  The support system is from 4 foam-covered poles covered in foam and strong U bolts.

Overall we have found that the JumpKing Oval Trampoline is quick and easy to set up ( just over an hour) and will last for many years.  This type of quality is expected with Jumpking as they are one of the main market leaders in the trampoline sector.

This was that the safety enclosure poles are not sturdy when a couple of people are on the trampoline, and one of the poles had snapped during bad weather.

Jumpking has a great line of trampolines, so make sure you do not overlook this manufacturer when looking to purchase a trampoline.  We would delicately recommend using the provided enclosure because of the obvious added safety.  When you put great, long-lasting quality at a great price, then we have no other choice but to recommend this trampoline and enclosure combo.

Pure Fun 8ft Trampoline and Enclosure Set

The Pure Fun 8ft Trampoline and Enclosure is a great trampoline for kids.  The Pure Fun trampolines are made with galvanized frames that are strong and rust-resistant.  The ‘T-Section’ build of the frame helps with security and stability.  This will help to prevent the frame from shifting over time, which will increase the life span of the product and improve safety.

This trampoline has eight legs, which greatly improve the stability when in use to prevent the unit from tipping or wobbling, as many other trampolines do.  Other common features of trampolines also apply to this Pure Fun product, including a weather-resistant jump mat, padded enclosure poles, and rail padding.  One great feature of trampolines people look for when purchasing is the ease of set up.  This 8ft trampoline is easy to assemble as no tools are required, plus it meets all safety requirements from ASTM.

Features and Specifications

  • Product Weight: 70 pounds
  • Maximum Weight Capacity: 175 pounds
  • Galvanized iron steel tubing
  • T-Section construction provides stability and prevents shifting over time
  • Eight balanced contact points add stability and prevent wobbling or tipping
  • Easy to build and no extra tools needed
  • Zipper enclosure allows easy access

Overall we have found that the Pure Fun 8ft Trampoline had mixed reviews, but they all came to the same conclusion.  The main flaw of this unit was that the vertical poles which hold the enclosure netting in place are very weak and easily bend.  Others comment that there have been no problems with the poles. However, there is a main reason for the conflicting reports.  This is because those who have reported the poles bend have older children of 3yrs and older.  Those who have had no problems have children three years or younger.  This unit will be perfect for smaller children of 3 years or younger but will not last very long if older children have used or when your children grow in size.

Some users report they have inserted stronger poles into the vertical enclosure frame to strengthen them and have had no problems since.  Buy, you want to buy a product which is good enough to require no additional modifications.  We would suggest looking for alternative trampolines to fit your budget to avoid disappointment.  Do not let the low cost tempt you too much unless you are sure this is the product for you.  We suggest one of the larger Pure Fun trampolines or other alternative manufacturers such as Jumpking.

For optimal safety on trampolines, it’s important to follow these guidelines. Only one person should be allowed on a trampoline at a time. Never jump when the trampoline surface is wet. The trampoline surface will be very slippery and make the jumper more prone to injury. Avoid jumping when there are high winds. Make sure there are at least 24 feet of clearance above a trampoline. Also, leave at least two feet around the perimeter of the trampoline for maximum safety.

Jumpking offers the dependability and quality workmanship we all look for when purchasing products for ourselves and our family. They pride themselves in offering great outdoor and indoor trampolines for people across the globe.

Little Tikes Trampoline

Little Tikes make toys aimed at toddlers and young children. Their trampoline is a great example of the high-quality standards that all of their toys have. The trampoline is created using Rotomoulding, which means it can have double walls.

This makes it has better protection from heat or cold, which a product like this, which is to be kept outside needs. The molding process allows it to be made stronger in areas where it will have more heavy wear, such as where the children climb on.

Additionally, it has a good quality pad protector, which covers the safety springs to ensure that accidents won’t. This means the toy is very strong and will last well. As well as being safe, the toy has the same attractive style as others in the Little Tikes range.

The trampoline is 7ft in diameter and has a fully covered frame, surrounding netting and double zips on the entry point, making it safe for children. The extra thick netting makes it particularly suitable for young children who are likely to fall into it more. It is lower to the ground than standard trampolines, which means it is easier for toddlers to get on as they won’t need a ladder to get on. Although a toy designed for young children, it is also strong enough for adults to use, although it is recommended only for children aged three to ten or a maximum weight of 100lbs.

There are small added extras that really increase the attractiveness of this product. There are nets underneath to trampoline where your children can store their shoes. This means that while they are on the trampoline, their shoes are kept out of the way so other children won’t fall over them. The downsides are that it is only designed for one child to use at a time. It doesn’t come with a cover, which means although the frame is made of strong weather-resistant materials, the other parts of the trampoline have no protection. It also requires assembly at home after delivery, but this is fairly straightforward.

Reviews of this item on Amazon are all complementary. Advantages were the size, which meant it could be used in a small garden, the high quality of the netting, how easy it is to assemble, and the safety features like the low height. Downsides were the lack of cover for it, for when it is not in use and bad weather. Users have said that adults have been able to use it too, although it isn’t recommended by the manufacturers.

So the Little Tikes trampoline will make a great outdoor toy for your young children. It takes up less space than a usual trampoline, and you can be sure that it is very safe for them to use. It is attractive and designed specifically with younger children in mind. It is great value for money and is sure to be a real hit with your children. It will also encourage turn-taking and sharing due it only being designed for one child to use at a time.

Airzone Trampoline

The Airzone trampoline is one of many brands of trampoline that can provide endless hours of bouncing around in the backyard on a hot summer night.

The trampoline has become a great way to promote family togetherness and exercises, helping us bounce away those extra pounds while having a great time with friends at the same time. Many people find it easy to forget the cares of this world when they are bouncing around on an Airzone trampoline, and the company is banking on that.

With the advent of many trampoline exercise programs and the marketing of trampolines to kids becoming more and more prevalent, it is important to select a trampoline that is safe and reliable while still maintaining the important “fun” factor that is at the centerpiece of the trampoline experience. The Airzone trampoline boasts a great, safe product that will help bring your family together in a fun and exciting way, maintaining good health and safety all in one giant leap.

In order to be familiar with the Airzone trampoline and the possibilities that one has for your family, you need to be familiar with the specifics of purchasing one of these fine trampolines. Most Airzone products are available online at a variety of websites, including Amazon.com and Nextag.com. These sites offer excellent service and great packages of information on the Airzone product as well as other competitors’ products so that you can compare the trampoline and services of multiple companies.

There are a variety of sizes in terms of the Airzone trampoline. The most popular is the 13-foot trampoline, with an 8-foot trampoline also generating a lot of activity. The Airzone trampolines are framed on a rust-proof galvanized steel body, which, of course, makes a huge difference in the rain, especially if you live in my part of the world. There is nothing more dangerous than a rusty trampoline frame or rusty springs.

Most trampolines by Airzone come with rail padding and other safety implements that help prevent serious injury. Of course, the greatest deterrent to injury is supervision and proper use. Be sure to follow all of the guidelines imposed by the safety regulatory body in your area and ensure that you use your Airzone trampoline with the greatest of care to prevent serious harm.

One of the greatest feelings in the world for a manufacturer of toys or recreational items is seeing the product used with care and enjoyment. One such “success story” is of an eight-year-old autistic boy that uses his Airzone trampoline every morning for exercise and motor skill assistance. You simply cannot put a price on that type of joy.

Sports Power Trampoline

A fun way to play with your children and get outdoor exercise is on the sports power trampoline. It has safety features, for instance, safety netting for protection in case of a fall. The sports power trampoline should be set in an open and spacious area.

It is easy to set up when you’ve someone helping you. However, one should control their jumps and avoid jumping in case of exhaustion; once the trampoline is set up.

The manufacturer of this trampoline recommends that it should be used by children who are above six years old and those who do not weigh above 225 pounds. It is also recommended that users jump one at a time in order to avoid imminent injuries.

The manufacturer does not encourage backflips and somersaults on the trampoline. Such moves are prone to cause neck and back injuries, especially in case of awkward landings.

When jumping, there should be other people supervising, and jumpers should not jump too high. When climbing the trampoline, users should take care to climb on or off carefully and not jump on or off.

Users of the sports power trampoline should not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or have an object when jumping. The outer edges of the trampoline, where one can hit the springs or jump off at an angle, should be avoided by the users.

A trampoline provides people of all ages with a great outlet for their energy and also provides for great exercise. A trampoline can also do wonders for your health. This is a proven fact – just ask any health-conscious person.

Muscle Strength From a Trampoline

By jumping on a trampoline, a person can tone and perfect their muscles.

Continuous jumping will help to strengthen the muscles in the legs and back, and will also improve a person’s overall muscle tone.

By improving your muscle tone, you will be able to lift heavier things, use your muscles for an extended time, and will also be able to have better health overall.

Better muscle strength in all kinds of muscle groups is very important because it helps your body to be better toned and in generally better shape.

Exercise On a Trampoline

A person jumping on a trampoline can expect their heart rate to rise and, therefore, can strengthen their heart.

By jumping continuously, a person can expect that they will be better able to handle stress on their heart because they have strengthened it. If one was so inclined, one could do a lot of good exercising on a trampoline.

A trampoline can provide a place for a person to get almost all of their vigorous activity. It is recommended that to be healthy, one should have 30 minutes of vigorous activity about three times a week.

If you were to do this on a trampoline, you could sustain the 30 minutes of activity by continually jumping on the trampoline.

The vigorous activity allows for the heart to beat faster and help the blood to pump throughout the body.

Increased Endurance

By jumping on the trampoline, one can expect that their endurance will increase dramatically.

A trampoline is a perfect place to increase endurance because you can jump for a few minutes the first time you try it, and gradually work yourself up to as long as you wish to spend on jumping.

If a person gradually works themselves up to an extended time jumping in a trampoline, their endurance will increase no matter what else they are doing. Jumping on a trampoline will, therefore, increase a person’s endurance for running, swimming, or other vigorous activity.

Types of trampolines

Trampolines are great fun for all of the family and good exercise also, helping enhance coordination, balance, and agility. They can be perfect outside playthings for kids.

Classic Trampolines

The trampoline that the majority of people see is the classic round blue backyard trampoline, consisting of steel legs, trampoline mats, trampoline springs, and the alloy framework. It is the trampoline springs attaching the material to the rigid frame that creates the rebound. Classic trampolines additionally come in square contours, which are utilized in contests. The round trampolines come in some sizes, ranging from 8 to 16 feet in diameter.

As mentioned, independently owned trampolines are the classic round design, but trampolines can be found in a rectangular contour too. The rectangular variant is more prevalent for professional use and in gymnasiums, and they’re from time to time called contest trampolines. Round trampolines can be found in several sizes but are generally within the scope of about eight to 16 feet in diameter.

Outdoor trampolines

Outdoor trampolines come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from the familiar 14-foot round trampoline to rectangular and square trampolines. Many people enjoy the longer bouncing area provided by rectangular trampolines, from a standard 8×14 model to the gigantic 14×16 trampoline.

Maybe a 12- or 14-foot square trampoline would get your family bouncing. For younger kids, an 8-foot square trainer model provides the perfect jumping area, and stands closer to the ground, with leg supports just 24 inches tall.

Indoor trampolines

Combine fun and exercise with an indoor trampoline. These smaller trampolines, specifically designed for exercise, are often called exercise trampolines or rebounders. Indoor trampolines come in folding models, for easy storage when space is limited. Classic models absorb about 40 percent of a bounce’s force. For even more gentle impact, choose a rebounder that absorbs 85 percent of the stress from jumping. As long as the support surface is, even indoor trampolines can also be used outdoors for exercise.

Trampoline Buyer’s Guide

If you’re looking for a new way to add some fun to your backyard activities the upcoming season, have you considered purchasing a trampoline? Trampolines are not only fun but also a great workout for you and your kids. And of course, this activity get family members out of the house, away from the tv screen, computer and games to the fresh air!

A few things you will need to bear in mind before choosing a trampoline. They are available in various sizes and forms to satisfy your bouncing needs, but you need to buy a trampoline that is in proportion with the available back yard space.

Also, keep in mind choosing the trampoline not only based on its size but also on safety reasons. Once you have this information, you can start looking for a trampoline that matches your lifestyle and maybe even for some additional accessories to further enhance the fun.

Why Should You Own A Trampoline?

It is tough today to find something one can do outside. That is why a garden trampoline can be a great investment for a family. In this day and age that is so full of indoor activities – such as video games, the internet, and the huge number of self-entertainment systems that most children seem to have, this trampoline can be a valuable asset to the family.

Not only children will benefit from a trampoline. Adults can use it too, and it is a great way to exercise and have fun. Using one of these trampolines can provide many benefits to people of all ages. A trampoline allows your children to have an outlet for their energy – and to get exercise as well. By using a trampoline, children and adults can have a place to go to relax, have fun, and get in better shape.

Health Benefits of a Trampoline

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “what are the benefits of a trampoline”? From my perspective, there are many benefits to being a trampoline owner and user.

  • Keeps the kids from sitting inside watching too much TV.
  • If you want a great workout, it doesn’t take long for the heart rate and legs to start burning after being on the trampoline for only a few minutes.
  • The cost of owning a trampoline isn’t that expensive, especially if you get rid of cable over the summer months.

As I get older, I see the benefits of a trampoline more in terms of getting my family into a doing mode rather than watching life go by.

A trampoline can be fun and exciting. Trampolines can also be used for physical therapy sessions as they can help a person improve their motor control. Trampolines have been used for years for physical therapy, and a trampoline can provide the same level of therapy in someone’s backyard. A trampoline can raise the heart rate, provide a place for vigorous activity, and strengthen muscles as one uses it to jump.

Jumping on a trampoline can be equivalent to running or working out on a treadmill – and if the jumper keeps up a continuous momentum, the jumper will be participating in a vigorous activity, which is good for all parts of his or her body. A trampoline can also provide a fun environment for a family or neighborhood gathering.

The trampoline can provide many health benefits. There is an increase in the heart rate when a person uses a trampoline, especially if they use it without stopping for an extended time.

This increase in heart rate is a good indicator of increased health value because vigorous activity is good for all parts of the body.

A trampoline also raises the level of use of almost all of the muscle groups in the body. By having an increase in muscle use, the trampoline can strengthen and tone muscles and create a stronger body overall.

It can also increase the level of euphoria when one exercises, which is good for the overall health of the person.

A trampoline is a fantastic piece of gear to utilize for athletic conditioning and recreation. Trampolines can keep kids and adults amused for hours.

Among the many health benefits trampoline exercise provides, you’ll increase endurance, improve your cardiovascular condition, lower your blood pressure, and reduce stress. Trampoline exercise also burns more calories than regular running while working and developing better balance and coordination.

Trampolines can supply hours of enjoyable for the entire family. Trampolines provide an enjoyable means for kids to get exercise, burn off energy, and play.

Although trampolines have been used by people mainly for fun, they are also serious pieces of equipment that play a role in competitive sports as well as physical conditioning.

How to choose a trampoline?

So if you have been looking for purchasing a trampoline, here are some useful ideas to help you in buying the right one.

Trampolines are available in different sizes and shapes. But the one you purchase should fit well within the open space available for that purpose. You should look at the number of people who will usually be using the trampoline.

There are just so many trampolines on the market now it is extremely difficult to choose. There is no right or wrong option when purchasing a brand new trampoline. Make an effort to choose a trampoline that is within your budget, and that satisfies your needs. Here are some of the things you need to consider when buying a trampoline:

Round vs. Rectangular Shapes

Round trampolines are considered to be a safer trampoline than rectangular trampolines, simply because the round trampoline gives an equal, less forceful bounce throughout the mat.

This tends to keep the jumper in control more than the rectangular trampoline. Most homeowners and stores only want the round trampoline, and competitive jumpers usually look for a rectangular trampoline.

A good quality round trampoline should last you several years without having to replace parts. Often the cheaper trampolines that you buy at big box stores, such as Walmart, don’t last as long because the quality just isn’t there.

Round trampolines come in varying diameters, such as 10, 12, or 14 feet. So depending on where you’re placing your trampoline size may be a factor in what you purchase.

The rectangle shape with the long straight sides is great for competitive jumpers, aspiring gymnasts as well as family fun for everyone.

A rectangle trampoline, by design, will give the highest lift versus the traditional round trampolines. This is due to the springs working at different rates giving the jumper more control over their height and landing.

The round trampolines are built for family fun and fitness, with a controlled soft, slow bounce with all the springs working at the same rate. It is the nature of round trampolines to guide the user back to the center.

What will the age group be most often using your trampoline?

If you have young kids that will be using the trampoline, no point in getting a heaving duty trampoline that’s used for competition. You may want to look at getting a trampoline that’s only a foot or two off the ground, with an enclosure attached to the trampoline.

Another thing to consider is the weight rating on trampolines. If you have young kids, you can use a trampoline that doesn’t have a high maximum weight guide, and this may mean not having to spend as much on a trampoline.

If you want the trampoline around for a few years, then you need to consider the fact that kids grow, and what is good for today…may not be good in 4 years, cause the kids have grown and weight more.

Does Size Really Matter?

In most cases, the smaller the size, the greater the bounce factor. On the other hand, smaller sizes provide less jump space. Keep this in mind when considering which size best suits you. This will also be determined by where you plan to place your trampoline.

Remember to allow ample space on a level surface with plenty of room overhead free of hazards nearby. The most common sizes tend to range 12′  – 14′, as they provide a large enough jump space with plenty of bounce for a great time.

Space concerns

Which trampoline to buy might be ascertained by the space you have available. Common to all kinds of trampolines is a demand for a flat, even surface you plan to set up it. Never set up a trampoline on hard surfaces, like concrete or pavement.

Instead, set up large trampolines on grass or soft dirt areas, and set up mini-trampolines on carpet or a padded mat. Clear outside areas of low-hanging branches and any obstacle which could cause an injury when jumping on the trampoline. Be sure that the region across the trampoline is also free from any items which could injure a jumper.

Never set up a trampoline on or near a sloped region, around trees, close to a building, in the vicinity of any other potential dangers, or by a pool like a woodpile, machinery, or cars. You might not be aware that sinking the trampoline into the ground is an alternative.

In case you possess resources, cash, and the time to do this, it makes the trampoline a bit safer to use. You’ll need to take extra attention to keep the trampoline and make sure it isn’t a trip hazard for individuals walking across the lawn or a nesting place for critters.

Assembly

The trampoline will require a good bit of assembly, so plan on having family, neighbors, or friends help out when that point comes. The job is likely to take several hours. You can hire a professional to do this for you if you’re not keen on it.

Care and maintenance

Permanently installed kinds of trampolines require a cover to keep them protected from rain, snow, and UV radiation, especially during seasons when you are not using them. It is a key section of appropriate attention. The trampoline is also protected by the cover from other factors such as dead leaves, bird droppings, and creatures.

To keep trampoline, use pleasure and leisurely, jump, or with socks on. This can keep the trampoline mats clean and minimize damage to the security padding. Sweep dirt with a little brush or broom away.

It’s significant that trampoline users aren’t allowed to walk, stand, or sit on the padded borders around the trampoline. This can cause deterioration of the springs, padding, and fabric, plus it is a safety hazard.

Additionally, as you shop trampolines, be sure they’re from well-recognized makers so that plenty of replacement parts are available.

Security considerations

When you use trampolines, they create hours of enjoyment in your backyard but demand a safety mindset. Use attention when you are jumping on the trampoline, rather while you put on a safety harness, and consistently work with an experienced person to learn tricks. The larger the trampoline sizes, the fall, and the higher you’re able to rebound. Always have one person on the ground to monitor jumpers, and consider multiple “spotters” when children are jumping.

How to Use a Trampoline

There are several uses for a trampoline. Children and adults can use the trampoline for pleasure as well as exercise. It’s easy enough to use – and there are several levels of usage available. For more intermediate jumpers, a trampoline can provide plenty of chances for tricks, different jumping styles, and all kinds of interesting maneuvers. The more advanced jumpers can graduate to various tricks, such as flips and different landing styles, which focus on different muscle groups and need much more control in order to execute. Beginners can simply jump and enjoy the feeling of leaving the ground.

Trampoline Safety

If you’re involved with kids at all…you know from experience that trampolines are a great way to keep kids active. Not to mention, kids love trampolines.

Trampolines are well worth investing in in my opinion, but you also want to make sure you’re getting quality products because quality fits in with safety. As you know, safety is a big concern with trampolines…you nor I want anyone getting hurt.

There are many reasons to be cautious, but as long as a person uses a trampoline with safety in mind, there should be no problems. Parents should set limits to the number of children allowed to use the trampoline at one time and should make sure that their children understand that the trampoline is something that should be used with caution.

Parents should also monitor their children when using a trampoline and be aware of the rules and regulations that make a trampoline something safe to use. Never allow their children to use a trampoline unsupervised, and discuss with children the correct way to use a trampoline.

Safety Issues with the Trampoline

Families should take care that their children do not use the trampoline unless they are supervised, and parents should make sure that their children are educated on the correct way to use the trampoline.

Everyone, no matter what their age is, should be aware of the dangers of a trampoline, but should also be aware that with correct use, a trampoline can provide people of all ages with a good method of exercise and fun!

It’s also a great way for families to engage in an activity together, which helps create a bond that can last a lifetime.

Trampolines are great fun, they’re fun when you’re young, and they’re fun when you’re . . . Not so young. Of course, there are strict rules to adhere to before you start bouncing on a trampoline;

  • make sure your latest meal has fully settled
  • make sure that the kids haven’t guzzled too much fizzy soda
  • make sure that Dad hasn’t guzzled too much fizzy beer
  • make sure that the neighbors aren’t watching
  • Don’t trampoline in front of a mirror with no clothes on . . . It might not be such a pretty sight with all of those bits bouncing up and down, which really aren’t supposed to bounce up and down.

Trampolines are great fun, but as with most enjoyable things in life, you do have to watch your step. Trampolines can be dangerous places . . . They’re real-life accident blackspots just waiting for something to happen.

  • If you jump off the roof onto your trampoline, you’d better make sure you jump far enough – or it’ll hurt.
  • If you play basketball on your trampoline, make sure that you don’t get your leg stuck in the hoop . . . It’ll hurt, and your mates will just scarper and leave you to your own devices.
  • Showing off with a trampoline next to a swimming pool is just asking for trouble.
  • Always make sure that you have plenty of headroom when you bounce on your trampoline – even if you’re practicing to audition for the next Tarzan movie.
  • Oh, and the next one . . . Make sure that you’ve got one of those safety nets around the side of the trampoline to save anybody from falling off!

Happy Bouncing.

This is probably the first question most people have when possibly considering purchasing a trampoline….”Are trampolines safe?”

Owning and using a trampoline definitely comes with the risk that someone will get hurt. Anytime you take on a physical type of work, sport, or exercise…you take on the chance of injury.

If you own and use a trampoline, there are things you need to address to ensure that using trampolines is as safe as possible.

My Disclaimer: The following are things I take on for the safety of my kids and others that use our trampoline. This is not an exhaustive list, and you may have injuries, even using the following techniques or safety measures. If you used this list, don’t hold me liable for any injuries you or others may encounter.

  • I highly recommend safety enclosures, especially if you have young children. There are many times that our enclosure has kept my kids from falling off our trampoline.
  • You’ve heard it before, but allowing only one person on the trampoline at a time reducing the risk of injury. It just makes sense, more than one means heads bump or someone getting thrown from landing incorrectly.
  • Supervision is huge, as well. It doesn’t take long for young kids (probably even older ones) to get some funny ideas about what they should do on the trampoline. You need to be there to make sure that what goes on isn’t going to cause injury (i.e., no triple front flips and other tricks jumpers aren’t trained for).
  • Keep your trampoline in good shape. I don’t know how many trampolines I see that have safety pads half hanging off and springs missing. If you use it, make sure that the parts are in good condition or replace them.

They aren’t as safe as sitting on the couch watching TV, or as safe as having a nap. There are ways to increase the safety around trampolines, and if you aren’t comfortable with them, don’t buy one.

I think they offer great fun and exercise for my family.

Trampolines are fun and enjoyable for the entire family. Trampolines are becoming more and more popular. Those who own a trampoline or even those who are just thinking of purchasing one should be aware of the safety rules of trampolines.

Trampolines can provide hours of enjoyment, although if used improperly or carelessly, they can become very dangerous. Read on to find out about trampoline safety and some tips on how to keep your family safe.

Safety facts

The majority of trampoline-related injuries happen in private homes. Many of these injuries can be avoided by being responsible and taking necessary precautions while using the trampoline.

Some of the most common injuries are caused by:

  • Falling off the trampoline
  • Falling on the frame or springs of the trampoline
  • Colliding with another person
  • Improper landings

A trampoline enclosure will cut done on the number of bumps, bruises, and even prevent serious injury. The investment is worth the protection one will provide. Trampolines can also be placed at ground level by digging a hole and installing the trampoline into the ground. This will help prevent injuries from falls.

Before each use, inspect the trampoline for damage or anything that could potentially cause an accident. Never place a trampoline near things such as trees, swing sets, toys, etc. Also, use shock-absorbing pads to cover the frame, springs, and hooks. Any of these items that are exposed could cause injury to those who fall on them. Following these safety tips and using common sense will help keep your family and friends safe.

Trampoline Rules

There are a few rules that should be followed when using a trampoline. Following these few simple rules will keep everyone happy and safe. First, never let children jump on a trampoline without adult supervision. Also, children should be at least six years of age before being allowed to jump on the trampoline. Never allow anyone under the trampoline while people are jumping. This could cause injury to both persons. Do not try flips or other stunts on a trampoline. Landing wrong can cause serious injury to the neck.

Understanding trampoline safety is imperative information for anyone who uses a trampoline. Trampolines are fun, but if they are used incorrectly or carelessly, serious injury can result. Trampoline safety is meant to keep everyone safe and happy. Following these few simple safety rules will ensure that everyone is kept safe.

Kids (and adults) of all ages love trampolines, but with the number of trampoline-related injuries that occur each year, it is extremely important to take precautions and always follow trampoline safety measures.

  • Trampolines should be set at ground level on a level surface and clear of any surrounding hazards.
  • Adult supervision is a must at all times.
  • Homeowners should verify with their insurance company that trampoline-related injuries are covered. Also, note that many insurance companies have been known to cancel policies due to trampolines on the property.
  • Jumpers should be limited to 1 person at a time. An increased number of jumpers leads to an increased risk of injury.
  • Somersaults and flips increase the risk of injury, particularly (potentially permanent) neurological injuries.
  • Always use a high-quality enclosure net and padding, but keep in mind…
  • Enclosures and padding are not expected to prevent a large number of injuries and may provide a false sense of security.
  • Frequently inspect the trampoline (net, padding frame, etc.) for damage.
  • Anchor your trampoline to the ground with an anchor kit to avoid tipping or flipping.
  • Thoroughly read the safety instructions and user manual before use.

The trampoline is a fun device that gets your whole body in action in just a couple of minutes. It can, however, be unsafe if the exercise is not practiced with proper caution. Some common practices, especially with children, are that they are usually tied safely, so they do not get projected on the side or lose their balance and fall off the trampoline. Bouncing off is the most common injury that occurs; to avoid being side projected, do not jump too high on the trampoline.

It is important to keep your trampoline in good repair if the pad begins to tear, it is important to get a trampoline replacement pad as soon as you can so the tear does not get bigger and endanger jumpers. Similarly, if you have another trampoline part that is broken or beginning to wear out, contact the manufacturer or the store you bought it from to get the correct trampoline replacement part as soon as you can.

If you are not an athlete with practice in using the trampoline; use it with care and follow all the necessary safety measures to avoid injury to yourself and others; it is otherwise a great way to lift spirits, exercise, and have fun at the same time.

And finally, get the best trampoline you can afford, the ultimate costs of a cheap trampoline in replacement parts and injuries will be higher than if you buy a good one, to begin with.

Replace The Trampoline Or Just The Damaged Trampoline Part?

If a trampoline part is giving you trouble and you don’t know if you should just invest in another trampoline, or is it better to replace the damaged trampoline part? Depending on the damaged part, sometimes it is better just to get a new trampoline, and at times, just investing in a part will give you a brand new trampoline back.

When to Consider Replacing a Trampoline Part and When Not To

Repairs will eventually be needed after exposing the trampoline to the sun for long periods of time, weathering, and even just plain using the trampoline for its normal purposes of exercise and plain old fashioned fun.

Trampoline mats, for example, are made of polypropylene mesh, which is a strong woven fabric of tremendous endurance and elasticity. If you have a small hole in the mat (a small hole is less than one inch in diameter), you may try and repair it; there are many companies that offer service repairs, rebuild, and hole patching. Sometimes, these companies will suggest you replace the whole mat instead of patching it for safety reasons.

Keep this guideline in mind: If your trampoline is older than ten years, you should consider replacing the entire piece of equipment when it shows signs of wearing out, or when it is torn from the edges or has been repaired previously, or especially when the frame gives in or shows signs of serious damage.

The trampoline’s normal life is approximately seven to eight years; the life of the trampoline mat can be extended by using UV protective cover when not in use, as this will prevent the sun’s UV rays from deteriorating the mat stitches any sooner then they have to.

Trampoline part replacement should only be done at specialized stores where qualified personal will help you make the right decision, keeping your safety in mind. It is very important that you stop using your trampoline should you see that any trampoline part is severely damaged or deteriorating. Make everyone aware in the house that is likely to use the trampoline that it is not safe to use it until the damage is fixed.

Many people enjoy the fun of trampoline exercising and just plain having fun with family and friends; however, being careful and making sure it is safe to use the trampoline is what will make the fun remain fun and not turn into tragedy.

What’s The Best Place To Buy A Trampoline?

If you want to buy a new trampoline, then you will find three places to look at.

The first is retail stores like Sports Authority or KB Toys. There you will find a complete variety of options regarding trampolines and their accessories. But be careful. Don’t waste your money on cheap trampolines. They may present a risk to you and your family.

The second place to look for trampolines is classified ads. You shouldn’t have any problem finding a trampoline for sale, especially if you live in a big city. Use the newspaper or the internet and look for any trampoline for sale ads.

Remember that in the case of online ads, they may refer to what is available for sale in other cities. It isn’t very practical to save some money on a used trampoline when you have to pay for the transport from one side of the country to the other.

The final place to look for trampolines is online stores. Amazon is a popular website offering a range of trampolines and accessories. In some cases, they provide free shipping and returning.

Amazon sometimes has the lowest trampoline prices, and you can get a trampoline within your budget. Additionally, the free return policy makes the decision quite easy.

Stay Away From A Cheap Trampoline

Searching through all of the cheap trampoline propaganda to find the truth about good quality trampoline materials and equipment can be an arduous and grueling task that may not seem worth it to many people.

Consider trampolines that are enclosed as they prevent falls and ensure that your trampoline has protection mats around the spring area. These features are never offered by a cheap trampoline,

It can be easier to buy that cheap used trampoline from your neighbor simply, but in the long run, if you are still determined to grant your children their big bouncing wish, you need to ensure that you follow the AAP’s advice and find a trampoline that offers the best safety capabilities possible.

Trampoline Accessories

Trampoline accessories help you take proper care of your trampoline and make the most of its use with increased safety and fun.

Trampoline games

Enhance your time on the trampoline with an assortment of accessories, including trampoline games and gear. For example, be a basketball superstar with an enclosure-mounted basketball hoop. Slam-dunking is no problem with this hoop, which mounts conveniently to your trampoline enclosure. For instant variety, try a trampoline game set. Game sets come with a book of game ideas and all of the equipment you need to get the fun started (balls, sidewalk chalk, and cording).

Trampoline ladders

Keep the fun going on a water trampoline by installing a couple of water trampoline ladders. Larger water trampolines can be difficult to remount once you’ve jumped off; curving up and around the side of the water trampoline, a three-, five-, or six-step ladder makes it a lot easier. Water trampoline ladders are made from rust-free stainless steel or aluminum, specially constructed for aquatic use. For easy access to your outdoor trampoline, use a three- or four-rung galvanized ladder. The rungs have textured strips for slip resistance.

Trampoline inflators

Inflators are accessories that can be used to inflate trampolines, air mattresses, or other water toys. Inflators can be hand pump models, great for inflating small toys or topping off large ones. Inflate your water trampoline, or any other large inflatables, fast as lightening with an electric inflator. Or, with slightly less speed, but great convenience, use a highly portable inflator powered by a car adapter or batteries.

Trampoline cleaners and repair kits

Specialized cleaners made to clean and protect vinyl will prolong the life of your trampoline, especially water trampolines. Along with removing dirt, stains, and oils, trampoline cleaners help vinyl (and other materials) withstand abuse from weather and regular use. Repair kits, including glue and vinyl patches, permanently repair those accidental holes and tears.

Trampolines can provide hours of family fun. The right accessories can make the fun even better.

Besides the fundamental trampoline, there are several accessories that may be set up across the outside of the trampoline. Being aware of what’s available can let you personalize a trampoline that is fundamental to your requirements.

  • Trampoline canopies/tents: The trampoline canopy is set in addition to the enclosure to produce shade. In addition, it can be lowered to cover the enclosure sides.
  • Trampoline pads: Trampoline pads/mats attach to the external band of the trampoline to safeguard users from harm.
  • Trampoline ladders: A trampoline ladder is a must for bigger trampoline sizes for safe mounting and dismounting.
  • Trampoline enclosures: Enclosures prevent bounce-offs and fall from the equipment; it comes with two-way visibility as a mesh screen.
  • Trampoline covers: There is a trampoline cover important for appropriate trampoline attention — the place to secure the trampoline from UV radiation damage, snow, and rain.

When contemplating the best way to get a trampoline as well as the choices available, most of these accessories are advised to keep solitude and security.

The Wide World of Trampoline Equipment

Because trampolines have been so popular in the past few years, there have been many advances in trampoline equipment. There are many different accessories that you can buy for your trampoline, and each of these different things serves a distinct purpose in the world of trampoline equipment.

Many of these pieces are designed to make the trampoline safer and to protect the people using the trampoline, as well as the trampoline itself. Trampoline equipment is relatively inexpensive, and often a trampoline that you purchase will come with different pieces of trampoline equipment. When you are purchasing a trampoline, you should also ask what kinds of accessories will come with it.

Spring Protectors for Your Trampoline

An important piece of trampoline equipment is a set of spring protectors. These pieces of cloth and foam rubber are placed over the springs to ensure that the jumper will not jump on the springs. This protects the springs, but more importantly, protects the jumper from injuries acquired landing on the springs. These pieces of equipment almost always come with a trampoline that you purchase.

Trampoline Covers

Another important piece of trampoline equipment is a cover for the trampoline. Many trampolines come with covers naturally, and a cover is a good thing to use to protect the trampoline from the elements. It is important to cover your trampoline when you aren’t at home or when you aren’t using it. Not only does this piece of trampoline equipment protect the trampoline from rain and snow and sun damage, but it will also protect the owner from having the trampoline used without their knowledge.

Trampoline Screens

Finally, this important part of trampoline equipment creates a type of cage around the trampoline. This is important because it creates a much better safety avenue for trampoline users. When using a screen or a protective cage, people jumping on the trampoline will not be able to fall or jump off the trampoline. This safety feature is very important to have when you have a trampoline that children might use, as it will prevent children from getting hurt.

This feature might cost a little bit more money when you purchase a trampoline, but it is always worth it. In the past years, this accessory has become more and more common with the purchase of trampolines because of the added safety benefits it provides.

What Trampoline Accessories Can You Buy For Your Trampoline?

A trampoline is a device that can be enjoyed by all of your family and your friends. But, are there any additional accessories that can increase the fun, or make the trampoline easier or safer to use? Yes, there are a lot of great products to enhance your trampoline.

Trampoline Accessory Choices

The first trampoline accessory is a trampoline enclosure. This device is placed around the trampoline, reducing the risk of accidents. This is especially useful if your children use the trampoline.

Another useful trampoline accessory is a cover. This can be placed over the trampoline so it can be protected from nature. Remember that a trampoline is also a machine. Although it may not have traditional moving parts, it does have springs and bolts. These are made from metal, and they may be subject to oxidization. So, if you want to maintain your trampoline in good conditions, a cover is a must. And don’t go for a cheap one. Find a good, sturdy cover that can protect your trampoline from the weather.

A practical trampoline accessory that you can add is a ladder. Most of the trampolines are a bit high for children or maybe a bit too difficult to climb for people with overweight. You may find ladders that have two to four steps. If you want to cover a wide range of people, then a 4-step ladder is recommended.

An anchor is also a good idea, especially if you live in a zone with high winds. The last thing that you want to do is find your trampoline in your neighbor’s backyard. Assure yourself and secure it to the anchor the best you can.

Do you hate to leave your shoes and sweater in the garden while you are jumping? Don’t worry about it. You can buy a snag bag that can protect all your stuff. And your yard won’t look as if a wardrobe has exploded and thrown out all of its clothes.

For the more adventurous, there is a very nice device called the bounce board. This board can be used as a practice device for any skateboarder, snowboarder, or water surfer. They can spend hours practicing new moves and postures in the commodity of their own home. That way, they can maximize the time spent in their sports area.

Why You Must Need a Trampoline Enclosure

A trampoline is a device that almost everyone enjoys since they provide tons of fun and can be an excellent toy and exercise machine.

Unfortunately, falling from a trampoline is no fun. You may cause serious harm to yourself, or even worse, your children could be the ones affected. So, is there some way to protect yourself and your loved ones from these potential accidents? Yes, a trampoline enclosure is a solution for you.

What Is a Trampoline Enclosure?

A trampoline enclosure is none other than a net that is placed around the trampoline. That way, if someone makes an incorrect jump, he will bounce against the net instead of falling to the ground. And where can you buy them? Although it may sound like a very rare product, they are quite easy to find.

You can make a simple query on any search engine, and you will find that there are plenty of brands and models. If you don’t trust the supposed quality of the product, you may go to a sports retailer, like Sports Authority, and ask for their line of enclosures. In case it is an enclosure for your child’s trampoline, you may also find them at toy stores like KB Toys.

Things to Consider When Buying a Trampoline Enclosure

Although buying a trampoline enclosure should be a simple procedure, it isn’t. The first thing to consider is if the trampoline enclosure that you are buying can be installed in your trampoline. There isn’t any standard on enclosures so you should be very careful with this. If you aren’t buying a trampoline enclosure from the same manufacturer of your trampoline, ask the seller if their trampoline enclosure can be used with your particular trampoline.

The second thing to consider is price. Don’t go for enclosures that cost less than $100. They are a waste of money. Considering that you are placing the security of your loved ones in that add-on, it doesn’t make sense to go for a cheap option. A trampoline enclosure should be made from a strong material that is enough to support at least one falling person.

Finally, make sure that the access door in the trampoline enclosure can be tied. Don’t spend hundreds of dollars in an enclosure with a virtual hole in it. So, if you are a first buyer for this product, go to a retail store and check the options out by yourself. If you have had some prior experience with each product, you could also use the internet.

Trampoline Enclosures (aka trampoline safety net) Information and Guidance?

My opinion is that trampoline enclosures are an extra safety device for users. There are people opposed to using trampoline safety enclosures because they feel that the number of injuries increases with the enclosure. I don’t know the statistics on this, but the facts come down to this from where I look at it…when proper trampoline safety is followed, an enclosure will reduce risk. Often injuries come about with enclosures because of this, too many people (kids) on the trampoline at the same time. Basic safety should be kept with a trampoline enclosure, one jumper at a time.

We’ve got a trampoline safety net set up on our trampoline, and there have been numerous times that our kids would have fallen off the trampoline if it hadn’t been for the trampoline enclosure.

Trampoline safety is a key to us using a trampoline…and a trampoline enclosure or safety net is a key part of us keeping our kids safe.

Trampoline Safety Nets

Without a doubt, I think that safety nets are important for those who have young kids using a trampoline. Trampoline safety nets, which are often referred to as trampoline enclosures by some, provide me with more confidence that my children are safe on the trampoline.

I’ve been told by a few people that they don’t believe trampoline safety nets help to develop the user’s ability as well. I’m sure there is truth to this side, but the fact is, is that I don’t want my kids to get severely hurt while they’re developing into a better jumper on the trampoline.

Safety is first at our place, so obviously, a safety net or enclosure is a very important part of keeping my kids safe.

So if you are contemplating whether you should look at getting an enclosure for keeping your kids safe, I say a big “YES” to it.

Trampoline enclosures perform the simple, but very important job of keeping people from jumping or falling off of the trampoline—one of the most common causes of trampoline-related injuries.

Easy installation and long-wearing construction

Trampoline enclosures are generally customized to work with a specifically manufactured trampoline or a specific model. For this reason, installation is easy; you won’t need to cut or drill any parts, the support poles simply bolt to the trampoline’s frame. Steel support poles resist rust and corrosion with tough powder-coat finishing. Polypropylene netting, used for the walls of the enclosure, won’t stretch out, fade or rip.

All components of the enclosures are made to stand up to exposure to the weather, including moisture, sun, and heat. Some enclosures are fitted with an overlapping net doorway. This complete enclosure keeps all the action inside the trampoline, while still allowing easy access. Also, most enclosures include pads for the support poles. These provide a little extra cushioning in case of an impact.

Trampoline enclosure sizes

Trampoline enclosures are manufactured to fit the different sizes and shapes of trampolines. Enclosures for large 14-foot square or 14 x 16 rectangular trampolines allow for out-of-this-world jumping without flying off the trampoline. Trampoline enclosures are especially popular when children are jumping. The 8 x 8 trainer model trampolines, already popular for kids because they stand just 24 inches tall, get an added safety boost when you install a customized trampoline enclosure. Also, some trampoline enclosures are adaptable to fit different sized trampolines. Always read the size specifications before purchasing an enclosure to make sure it will work with your specific model.

Trampoline safety and trampoline enclosures

One of the most common injuries on trampolines occurs when people jump or fall off of the trampoline. Enclosures serve as a protective fortress to keep jumpers safely inside. Just as trampolines should not be placed close to trees, buildings, or play equipment, the trampoline enclosure should not be impeded by tree branches or other obstacles.

Keep all the action and fun happening on your trampoline—while keeping everyone safe—with a trampoline enclosure.

Trampoline Safety Guidelines

There is no doubt in the minds of those that have suffered trampoline injuries that having clearly outlined trampoline safety guidelines could have prevented the injury.

For this reason, many consumer agencies and public safety coordinators are starting to take a closer look at trampoline safety and have developed a concrete set of guidelines that any trampoline owner should find beneficial to their trampoline experience. In the end, nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of our family and friends.

Generally, we know all about trampolines and the fun that can be had on a summer night with our children as we leap about. We also know about the exercise that can be gained by jumping around on our trampoline. Many of us, however, are not well informed when it comes to the possibility of injury on a trampoline and do not follow adequate safety guidelines when we are on our trampolines with family and friends.

Common Injuries

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, a trampoline is not safe for use at home, in gym class, or on playgrounds. The Academy does not have a lot of faith in the trampoline as an appropriate child’s toy and states that these trampolines are never used in these situations. Tens of thousands of trampoline injuries take place every year, and with more trampolines entering more backyards, the AAP suggests that the number will only rise and heavily recommends against the use of a trampoline in most situations because of the risks involved.

Two-thirds of the people injured on a trampoline are between the ages of 6 and 14. The most common injuries from trampoline use include broken bones, concussions, and other serious head injuries, sprains, bruises or cuts, and neck or spinal cord injuries that could result in paralysis or death. Many children are injured due to improper landing while jumping, landing off the surface of the trampoline or on the springs, and colliding with other jumpers in mid-air.

Worth the Risk?

In the end, parents need to understand the possibility of injury should proper trampoline safety regulations not be followed. These regulations and guidelines usually come with the trampoline itself and were compiled by experts well-versed in the injury capacity and potential for the danger of a trampoline. Follow these trampoline safety regulations if you are planning on getting a trampoline and do your part to prevent serious injury in your backyard.

Owning a trampoline means that you have some key responsibilities in understanding trampoline safety.

So what are some of the things to keep in mind regarding trampoline safety? (Here are some items to consider in no particular order.)

Placement of trampoline: It just makes sense that your trampoline is kept away from objects such as trees, swingsets, lawn furniture, etc. All it takes is one occurrence of someone falling off your trampoline and into a tree to cause a serious accident. If you can afford the space and extra cost, some people even dig and fill the area around trampolines with pea gravel, etc. just like you’d find at a park. This helps reduce the risk of injury by creating an area that has some give, if a child or adult happens to fall from the trampoline this should help reduce injuries. Location and placement of your trampoline is an important factor in trampoline safety.

Number of Users:You and I have probably heard numberous times in our lives that there should only be one jumper on a trampoline. That holds true today as much as it did 20 years ago. The risk of injury increases dramatically for every extra person that’s on a trampoline. Even with the addition of a trampoline enclosure, the number of jumpers is still an important factor in trampoline safety. It’s not the fall off the trampoline that always causes injury, multiple jumpers means that colliding into one another because a big factor. One jumper will reduce the chance of injury, commons sense with trampoline safety.

Training and Supervision:We recently had a young girl at our place who started to do some flips on our trampoline. I quickly informed her that we didn’t allow this type of activity on our trampoline. Children need to be supervised so that unwanted activities do not occur on your trampoline. Some may feel that any type of activity is okay on their trampoline, that’s for you to decide. But part of trampoline safety means that you as a parent or responsible individual needs to know what’s going on. Don’t let kids jump without supervision and an understanding of the rules.

Quick Overview: Trampoline Safety is key to enjoying your trampoline. If an owner of a trampoline isn’t willing to consider the safety of users, then the trampoline shouldn’t be used. Trampolines are fun and give us all a little added exercise, but safety is a key. Nobody wants to deal with injuries; injuries are avoided by taking some steps in ensuring you’ve covered the basics of trampoline safety.

Safe Play On a Trampoline

Trampolines can be a lot of fun, but it’s always wise to have a few guidelines for playing on a trampoline. As soon as there is an accident, the fun stops, so here are a few things to keep in mind while on a trampoline.

Who Can Use a Trampoline?

A trampoline is safe for a majority of people and pets, keeping in mind the age and agility of the user. Trampolines are not for the very young, but generally, when a child can stand and walk, a trampoline is a super fun toy under parental supervision. The very old or infirm should take care not to use a trampoline since it requires a measure of athleticism. Accidents do happen, so take into consideration the health and safety of everyone at all times to ensure the most pleasure from your trampoline.

With the proper precautions, your trampoline can be very safe. Made with a space-grade aluminum frame, and bound together with elastic instead of springs, there is no reason to worry about being pinched by the springs or the frame-breaking.

The high-grade mat on your trampoline is also guaranteed not to break, tear, or develop holes with proper use and storage. With the addition of safety cage netting, one can be sure that they will not fall off the trampoline. As long as you place it on a level surface, preferably a nice thick lawn, you can be sure it will not tip or collapse.

Safe Uses for a Trampoline

Your trampoline is designed to be jumped on, run on, and bounced on. Other uses might include buying the tent accessory and using it as a camp-out location. One could also find that it makes for a quite comfortable substitute in place of a hammock or lawn chaise. Grab a pillow and your favorite book, and you have a comfortable place to rest up off the ground.

Other uses might include developing an exercise routine or adding some band exercises to a workout. Jogging in place and jumping rope while on a trampoline can increase the strength of joints like the ankles and knees, while providing a soft lower impact surface, thus reducing the likelihood of impact injuries.

However, you and your friends and family decide to use your trampoline is up to you. The most important thing is to have fun, and follow a few tips for ensuring that the fun is safe and enjoyed by all on your trampoline.

Conclusion

For those who have decided to buy a trampoline, you and your family members can have a great time bouncing your way to fun healthily and safely!

Trampolining is a fun sport activity while offering a good workout for the whole family. Once you build up the love for the trampoline in the minds of the family, they will get out of the house and break the non-active habits of watching TV, sitting on the computer, and gaming.
